The Adriana Carador collection was the brainchild of an extremely talented designer and a business savvy entrepreneur. The love of beautiful jewels sparked a partnership producing breathtaking cuts and settings of gold and precious stones natural to Brazil.
In Brazil, the gemstones are mined by gemologists to the designer’s specifications, then a dedicated team comprised of jewelry makers and goldsmiths cut, mount, and set the stones.
“It has never been our goal to create jewelry that is mass-produced or distributed… What makes our jewelry so special is that each design is an original—one will not find another like it anywhere. Women not only rave about our designs but love that they are wearing something no one else has,” Carador explains.
Adriana Carador designs has a loyal following of international jetsetters and fashionistas.
The collection pieces vary from 18k white, rose and yellow gold, diamonds, citrines, tourmalines, topaz, smoky quartz and other precious stones.
About Adriana Carador
A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Adriana grew up admiring the beautiful gems of her country. After studying fashion and accessories design in Rome, Italy, she returned to Brazil to open two women’s clothing boutiques, while still in her 20s. These celebrated haute couture emporiums offered Carador the opportunity to design clothing collections, as well as introduce high-end designers like Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Prada and other European designers to the Latin American market.
While viewing the Milan collections in the mid-90s, she found herself sketching jewelry to compliment the looks. Upon returning to Brazil, she immersed herself in the history and study of jewelry and gemstones. With the help of talented local goldsmiths, she was soon transforming the area’s most precious resources into jewelry for herself. Well, you can imagine she naturally began designing and creating jewelry for her clients. She sold her boutiques and focused 100% on her jewels.
